Forgotten 59-year-old boxer calls out Jake Paul after wild KO win
Days after the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson sideshow, another fight has stunned the boxing world as a 59-year-old veteran vowed revenge.
A 59-year-old boxer has called out Jake Paul.
You’d be forgiven for feeling like this was deja vu all over again, but sadly it’s not.
Just days after beating Mike Tyson via unanimous decision, Paul has no shortage of suitors lining up to try to knock out the cocky YouTuber.

The Paul vs Tyson fight wasn’t exactly a day to remember for the sport of boxing and fight fans were left stunned again by a fight on Wednesday (AEDT).
Oliver McCall, 59, defeated Stacy Frazier, 54, in their heavyweight bout at the Country Box fight card in Nashville, Tennessee.
Veteran boxing analyst Dan Rafael wrote on X, perhaps sarcastically: “Epic fight about to start.”
McCall was far too good for Frazier and knocked him down three times in the opening two rounds.

The third knockdown proved too much for Frazier, who sat slumped against the ropes in the corner of the ring, unable to survive a standing count and the referee called a stop to the fight.
Afterwards, McCall took the opportunity in his post-fight interview to call Paul out, declaring: “You know I’ll knock Jake Paul out.”
The American veteran also pledged to get revenge on Logan Paul for his knocking out former NBA player Nate Robinson in 2020, even though it was actually Jake Paul who fought that fight.
“I want to get revenge for Nate Robinson and then for what he’s done to Mike Tyson, that would be awesome,” McCall said.
McCall KO2 Frazier! Dropped him twice in rd 2, three times overall. McCall gets his 60th win. Bring on Jake Paul!!!!! https://t.co/lcjNdts6A8

Oliver McCall just said heâs going to lose 10 more pounds and then heâs ready for anyone at HW. Calls out Jake AND Logan Paul. Heâs mad at Logan for knocking out Nate Robinson (even though that was Jake). Good to see the old champion feeling himself in there ð #boxing

It’s no surprise McCall got the win given he’s remarkably never been knocked down in 74 fights and 438 professional rounds. Frazier’s record now reads 16-23 after the loss.
It was McCall’s first fight since 2019 and the victory takes his record to 60-14 (39KOs).
McCall has been around the block for a long time. He made his professional debut in 1985 and the highlight of his career came in 1994 when he defeated Lennox Lewis via TKO to claim the WBC heavyweight title.
Lewis won their rematch in 1997 and went on to become undisputed world heavyweight champion, famously defeating Mike Tyson in 2002.
It would be a surprise if Tyson fights again, especially after he revealed he needed eight blood transfusions in June and “almost died”.
But at least Tyson and McCall would be evenly matched in the age department. They never fought each other in the prime of their careers.
There are calls for Paul to fight a legitimate fighter in his next bout after the 27-year-old took his boxing record to 11-1.
It comes as Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone went public with his theory that Tyson was acting in the fight with Paul.
The Rocky actor wrote his message on Instagram while sharing several photos of himself with the former “Baddest Man On The Planet”.
“Business is business. SOMETIMES you have to do hard things and sacrifice for the sake of helping your FAMILY,” he wrote.
“I have known this unbelievable athlete since he’s 19 years old and what we saw was him giving one of the great Oscar winning performances of all time!!!!
“Please, Jake, be grateful, HE SPARED YOUR LIFE! Trust me.
“Keep punching Mike. There will never be a MAN like you, a GLADIATOR like you, and a SOUL like you!
“Keep punching champion of champions! I remember once I bumped into him and thought I was hit by a runaway BULLDOZER.”
Tyson said “it depends on the situation” if he would fight again and called out Logan Paul in the ring after the loss to Jake.
NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin also raised eyebrows when sharing his theory about why Tyson looked so toothless against Paul.
Irvin is the latest public figure to question if the contract included a clause banning Tyson from throwing an uppercut — his most devastating punch.
“I didn’t see one patented uppercut by Mike Tyson,” he said on the latest episode of the It Is What It Is podcast.
“You taking away Mike Tyson’s best gift, which was that uppercut. Man, that’s a big lie to me. That’s like making me play a game without running a slant route in the deep end or the deep out. You do what you do best. If they take that away you not that dude anymore, and they took that away.”
Irvin also said on Fox Sports’ The Herd with Colin Cowherd that “it was fixed”.
It pours fuel on the fire of other conspiracy theories that have claimed Tyson pulled punches in the early rounds.
“People are like, ‘Oh, it’s rigged because look at him on the pads’,” Paul said on brother Logan’s podcast.
“He didn’t do this in the fight because someone is f**king punching back, you dumb f**ks.
“You don’t realise my power and my speed and my agility and my footwork to get out of the way of those punches.
“All of a sudden he’s throwing at air. He can’t land those punches on me.”
He also said Tyson’s punches didn’t phase him at all.
“Didn’t feel a thing, to be honest,” he said.
“It didn’t hurt. He didn’t really land anything.”
