An ex-Queensland forward is in strife after he was among three players sent off in Canberra’s NSW Cup loss to the Warriors.

Former Queensland forward Corey Horsburgh could find himself in hot water after being sent from the field against the Warriors in the NSW Cup.

Horsburgh was one of three players sent off in the 66th minute of the Warriors’ NSW Cup victory over the Raiders in Auckland.

Jacob Laban and Tom Ale from the Warriors were also given their marching orders for an incident that occurred while Noah Martin scored Canberra’s second try of the match.

All three were sent from the field for striking, with the referee accusing Ale of kicking as well.

Despite being down to 11 men for the last 14 minutes of the game, the Warriors held out for the win, 24-18.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand Warriors rebounded from a 60-point thrashing against the Titans to claim a 32-16 win over the Brisbane Broncos.

It was a fourth straight loss for the Broncos, who were without five players through State of Origin duty, injury and suspension and lost Jack Gosiewski to a broken arm in the opening five minutes.

The Warriors have their own injury list as well with the likes of regular halfback Shaun Johnson expected to be out until round 21 due to an Achilles injury.

But with a 3-8-1 record with Johnson at halfback this season — including losing the past six — it’s cast real doubt over his future in the NRL.
