An Uber driver has been charged with indecently assaulting a female passenger.
Police say that on Saturday June 27 the 51-year-old Scarborough man drove his Uber registered vehicle to an address in a southern Perth suburb and picked up a 20-year-old woman at around 11.15pm.
She told police that during the journey the driver sexually assaulted her.
Detectives from the Sex Assault Squad investigated and charged the man with one count of unlawful and indecent assault.
Police have advised Uber management and the Department of Transport of the arrest.
