Trainer Danny O'Brien pulls of Melbourne Cup carnival double Trainer Danny O'Brien pulled off the Melbourne Cup and the Kennedy Oaks double when Miami Bound proved far too good for her rivals in the 2500-metre group 1 classic under Damien Oliver, who won the Oaks for the fifth time.

Trackside at the big race By Sumeyya Ilanbey The Oaks was a far cry from the glorious weather Melbourne offered on Cup day.
Just before the main race, the mercury seemed to plunge.
Punters were yelling, jumping in the air and screaming as Miami Bound crossed the finish line.
But it was short-lived, with most retreating back under shelter and back indoors soon after.

It's been a great carnival for trainer Danny O'Brien - he took out the Melbourne Cup two days ago with Vow and Declare.
And it's yet another win for jockey Damien Oliver.
