Monaro Colts make third straight NSW country championships final
In a captain's knock, a Josh Stuckey hat-trick has inspired the Monaro Colts to a third straight NSW country championships final.
The North Coast Bulldogs crossed for the opening try of the semi-final at Woy Woy on Saturday, but then Monaro rattled in the next six to win 33-6 and advance to next week's decider.
They'll face the Illawarra South Coast Dragons after their 42-22 win over last year's champions, the Northern Rivers Titans.
Stuckey scored a double in a four-minute burst as the Colts took a 17-6 lead into half-time.
He completed his hat-trick six minutes into the second half, with Cody Hodge, Lachlan Cooper and Noa Venisi also crossing the stripe in the convincing win.
The Colts are looking to go one better than last year's grand final loss, having won the championship in 2017.
