Well, that's it for the World Cup blog. It's all over. New Zealand are champions. Australia are heartbreaking runners up. The Wallabies threw everything at the All Blacks and launched a second-half fightback, but Dan Carter's boot proved the difference. He was simply class under pressure and stood up when New Zealand needed him most. That's probably the last we'll see of Carter, McCaw, Nonu and Conrad Smith. If that's them bowing out, what a way to do it!
Thanks for tuning into all the blogs throughout the cup. Bring on Japan in 2019. Will Michael Cheika's men win it then? We've got four years to ponder.
