A man has been charged with a litany of offences after allegedly leading police on a car and foot chase through Perth’s southern suburbs on Friday afternoon.
Police allege about 1.25pm on Friday a white MG MG3 failed to stop for officers on Bolderwood Drive, South Lake.
Police Air Wing tracked the car through several streets until it crashed into a Mazda CX-5 at the intersection of Jandakot Drive and Berrigan Drive in Jandakot after the driver allegedly drove through a red light.
The Mazda driver – a woman in her 50s who had injuries not believed to be serious – was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital.
The male driver and female passenger of the MG ran from the crash scene but were arrested after a short foot chase through nearby bushland.
The woman was taken to hospital to treat injuries she received in the crash while gang crime squad officers charged the 33-year-old South Lake man allegedly driving the vehicle with the following:

- 1 x Reckless Driving (to evade police)
- 1 x No Authority Drive
- 1 x Possess a Prohibited Drug (Methylamphetamine)

He was also charged with a raft of other offences unrelated to the chase:
- 1 x Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm
- 1 x Being armed in a way that may cause fear
- 2 x Breached a Family Violence Restraining Order
- 1 x Criminal Damage or Destruction of Property

He was refused bail and appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.
