Australian Nursing Federation state secretary Janet Reah quits
Australian Nursing Federation WA state secretary Janet Reah has announced her resignation effective immediately.
Reah said she wanted to thank members for the support they had shown over the past two years.

“It has been my privilege to have represented them during one of the most tumultuous times in the ANF’s history,” she said.
“During this time, we negotiated a long-stalemated Public Sector EBA, begun rolling out historic patient-ratios to WA hospitals, kept ANF fees at a record low, and fixed the Helpline system.
“However, after great consideration I have decided to resign from my positions as ANF IUWP and ANMF WA Branch Secretary.
“I wish ANF members the best and thank them again for their support.”
The union, WA’s biggest with almost 40,000 members, will contest the 2025 state election against Labor after collecting the 500 signatures needed to form a political party, WAtoday reported in February.
The news followed that of Reah orchestrating the removal of the union’s chief executive in November.
