Young man fights for life after horror inner-Brisbane crash

A young Brisbane man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition overnight after his car crossed the road, smashed into a tree, rolled and slammed into a parked car.

Emergency services were called to Bennetts Road in Norman Park, four kilometres east of Brisbane CBD, about 1.40am on Thursday.

The 20-year-old driver from Gordon Park in Brisbane's north was initially trapped in the wreckage before he was freed and treated by specialist paramedics.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital under emergency lights and sirens.
