A woman has been charged with murder after being accused of administering lethal levels of prescription medication to a man.
Kylie Ellina Truswell-Mobbs, 50, was arrested more than a year after the 56-year-old man’s death at Alexandra Hills, in Brisbane’s south-east, in December 2023.
“Police will allege the man was in his last stages of life,” a police statement said.

“However, a woman known to the man took unlawful actions in administering lethal levels of prescription medication to accelerate the man’s death.”
Police described the investigation into the “suspicious death” as complex, with an operation launched to probe the man’s health, care and treatment at the time.
Truswell-Mobbs was arrested on Wednesday after officers attended an Alexandra Hills address, police said.
She was charged with murder and required to appear for a brief mention in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Her solicitor Andrew Hanlon did not apply for bail and sought an adjournment.
Magistrate Rosemary Gilbert adjourned the matter to April 28 and remanded Truswell-Mobbs in custody.
