Man stabbed, beaten with a hammer in north Brisbane

Police are on the hunt to find three men responsible for a brutal home invasion in Brisbane's north on Friday morning.

Police said three men forced their way into a home in Stafford about 9am before beating and stabbing the man inside.

"Once inside the three men assaulted two men, stabbing one man in the leg with a knife and hitting him with a hammer," police said.

"The three men then fled the scene in a grey 2010 Holden Commodore with Queensland registration 795-TOZ ."

The men are described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in their 20s.

A 22-year-old man was taken from the Stafford Road address to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of stab wounds to his legs and a fractured arm.

A 39-year-old man received minor bruising as a result of the incident.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with dash cam vision from Stafford Road around 9am on Friday to contact police.
