Bouncer charged with grievous bodily harm after Brisbane pub brawl
A security guard has been charged with grievous bodily harm after allegedly punching a patron outside a Brisbane pub.
On October 21 an altercation allegedly broke out outside the licensed venue on Oxford Street at Bulimba.
The 21-year-old man was allegedly punched while trying to re-enter the venue and was taken to hospital with critical injuries
It was alleged bouncers tried to separate the feuding parties when the man was hit.
A security guard for the venue was interviewed after the incident but was released without charge.
On Monday, police charged the 26-year-old security guard from Macgregor with one count of grievous bodily harm and he was set to appear in Brisbane Magistrates court.
