A man who allegedly set up hidden cameras in a bedroom at a Lithgow home will remain behind bars after being charged with recording intimate images of a woman without her consent and supplying methamphetamine.
NSW raptor squad officers began investigating in June 2023 after finding videos of intimate acts during a search warrant.
On Friday, after searching a home in Oakley Park, police seized an electronic device found in a creek behind the property.
Kane Drew, a 42-year-old man, was arrested and charged with supplying the drug ice (crystal methamphetamine) and taken to Lithgow Hospital for precautionary reasons before being taken to Lithgow police station where he was refused bail to appear before Dubbo local court on Saturday.
Police alleged in court that the man had set up several hidden cameras in a bedroom at a Lithgow property to film women without their consent during intimate acts.
Drew was charged with resisting a police officer, possessing a prohibited drug; recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime less than $5000; recording intimate images without consent (DV); dealing with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000; and supplying prohibited drugs.
He was refused bail and is due back in court on June 24.
Investigations are continuing.
