City of Sydney Council: What your candidates said
The City of Sydney is shaping up to be a key battleground this election, as Lord Mayor Clover Moore seeks to retain her majority on council with the Clover Moore Independents.
The Sydney Morning Herald sent questions to each of the 59 candidates up for election at the City of Sydney Council about why they are running and what they want to accomplish if they are elected. Of those, 32 responded.
Their responses have been lightly edited for clarity.
We asked candidates where they stood on key policy issues they’re likely to vote on while in office, and what they thought about the current state of council services. Click the below buttons to see the results.
