Mixing it up in the bedroom

On a whim they swapped places in bed.

“Look at us rebels!” Julie joked.

As she read and Duncan scrolled, they snuck glances at each other from their new vantage points, jiggling eyebrows when caught.

When the lights went out, they turned inwards.

As Duncan extended his left arm towards Julie, his right side felt foreign beneath him and he wriggled uncomfortably.

They began kissing, but their teeth clashed and Julie’s neck soon ached.

“This isn’t working,” she said. “We flew too close to the sun,” he agreed.

Chastened, they returned to their usual places, their all too familiar grooves.
