Georges River Council: What your candidates said
Georges River Council, in Sydney’s south, has five wards, with residents in each ward selecting three candidates to represent them on the council.
The Sydney Morning Herald sent questions to each of the 52 candidates up for election about why they are running and what they want to accomplish if they are elected. Of those, 12 responded.
Their responses have been lightly edited for clarity.
We asked candidates where they stood on key policy issues they’re likely to vote on while in office, and what they thought about the current state of council services. Click the below buttons to see the results.
