Central Coast Council: What your candidates said

It’s a big election on the Central Coast: the first for local government since administrators were brought in, after a period of chaos and tens of millions of dollars of debt, in 2020.

The Sydney Morning Herald sent questions to each of the 60 candidates up for election at Central Coast Council about why they are running and what they want to accomplish if they are elected. Of those, 28 responded.

Their responses have been lightly edited for clarity.

We asked candidates where they stood on key policy issues they’re likely to vote on while in office, and what they thought about the current state of council services. Click the below buttons to see the results.
