News Corp executive chairman Rupert Murdoch has listed two stylish New York City apartments for a total of $US78 million ($A104 million).
A triplex penthouse spanning 650 square metres has been listed for $US62 million ($A82.6 million), and another full-floor apartment below the triplex is asking $US16 million ($A21.4 million), The Wall Street Journal reports.
The residences are in the One Madison tower in the Flatiron district of Manhattan.
Mr Murdoch bought the two properties in 2014 for $US57.9 million, two years before he married his fourth wife, model Jerry Hall.
He previously attempted to sell the penthouse in 2015, asking $US72 million, but it did not trade.
Mr Murdoch lived in the three-bedroom apartment while the triplex was being fitted out to his specifications, Corcoran Group listing agent Deborah Grubman told the WSJ.
The five-bedroom triplex includes a staff room, and has floor-to-ceiling windows and 360-degree views of iconic New York landmarks including the Hudson and East rivers and the Empire State Building. The building offers amenities such as a pool, gym, steam room, lounge and dining room.
“You see every iconic building practically, and on a clear day you can see the ocean,” Ms Grubman said.
The famous couple also own an estate and winery in Los Angeles, known as Moraga Bel-Air, which they added to last year by buying the neighbouring property for almost $US4.3 million. His sons, Lachlan and James, own residences nearby.
The couple bought a cattle ranch in Montana, near Yellowstone National Park, in 2021 for about $US200 million. It has become the largest ranch sale in Montana’s history, according to the WSJ.
In the UK, they own an 18th-century Georgian mansion near Henley-on-Thames about an hour west of central London, which they snapped up in 2019.
They bought a 200-year-old fixer-upper in the Cotswolds in 2017.
In Australia, Mr Murdoch also owns a sheep and cattle farm, Cavan Station, bought in the mid-1960s.
Mr Murdoch, who celebrated his 91st birthday on March 11, has a global business empire spanning news, media, TV and film and an estimated net worth of $US21.4 billion, according to Forbes.
