Sandy Bay man blows 0.294 after getting vehicle stuck in a ditch in second alleged high-range drink driving offence in a week
A man has been accused of blowing almost six times the legal alcohol limit after his vehicle became stuck in a ditch – and it wasn’t even his first alleged offence for the week.

A SANDY Bay man has been refused bail after he allegedly blew almost six times the legal alcohol limit in his second alleged high-range drink driving offence in just one week.
Bernd Neubauer, 58, appeared in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Friday before Magistrate Jackie Hartnett.
Tasmania Police said in a statement Mr Neubauer had his vehicle seized after it became stuck in a ditch on Adventure Bay Rd on Bruny Island about 4.55pm on Thursday.
The man returned a breath alcohol reading of 0.294.
He was charged with exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit, driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and other traffic-related offences.
Police said it was the second time in a week the man was charged with high-range drink driving offences.
Mr Neubauer did not enter pleas to any charges and he was remanded in custody to appear on July 27.
