Bandidos members charged over theft of building materials

TWO men have been charged after police found building materials they say were stolen from an East Devonport motel undergoing redevelopment at an outlaw motorcycle gang’s nearby clubhouse.

Tasmania Police said they have charged a 32-year-old Bandidos outlaw motorcycle club member and a 39-year-old Bandidos with stealing from a Devonport motel.

Police conducted a search at the Bandidos clubhouse on Wednesday in relation to a

stealing that had occurred the previous day at the Argosy Motel.

It is alleged $5000 in building materials were stolen.

“As a result of the search, all of the stolen property has been recovered,” police said.

Both men have been charged with stealing and have been bailed to appear in the

Devonport Magistrates Court on April 20.
