AN alleged high-ranking Bandidos member has fronted a Hobart court as he continues to fight to be bailed.
Tasmania Police swarmed the seaside town of Dover on June 10 as part of a major crackdown on the outlaw motorcycle club.
TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED AFTER MAJOR POLICE OPERATION AT DOVER
Two people were arrested as part of the operation, a woman and a man both aged 44.
The operation involved more than 60 officers, including local police, the Australian Federal Police and the National Anti-Gang Squad.
The woman was accused of trafficking drugs and was scheduled to appear in court on August 10 after receiving bail earlier this month.
The man, Fahed Elniz, appeared before Magistrate Chris Webster in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Friday morning.
He is charged with supporting a criminal organisation, operating a commercial fishing vessel without a marine safety certificate, dishonestly intending to cause a loss and making misleading statements about his assets.
Magistrate Webster had previously refused Mr Elniz bail and that decision has been appealed to the Supreme Court of Tasmania.

The court heard that appeal was into its fourth day.
“I don’t think my sticking my nose in would be appreciated – it sounds as though it is being pursued with rigour,” Magistrate Webster said.
“That’s what [Supreme Court] judges get the bigger pay packet for.”
Mr Elniz was remanded in custody and will reappear via video link on July 24.
