A lead has run cold in relation to missing Burnie teenager Shyanne-Lee Tatnell, after the hunt for a vehicle captured on CCTV bore no link to her disappearance.

Shyanne-Lee, 14, has been missing for over two months. She was last seen crossing the Henry St bridge over the North Esk River in Launceston – heading towards Ravenswood – at 9pm on April 30.

Police say they will not give up on finding Shyanne-Lee, despite repeated searches of the North Esk River and dried-up leads in relation to vehicles being driven in the vicinity of her disappearance.

Detectives have identified the last silver vehicle which was in the Henry St bridge area around the time she was last seen.

Police say the driver has been interviewed, with no evidence to link that vehicle to Shyanne-Lee’s disappearance.

Investigations continue.

WATCH: Last recorded movements of missing 14yo

June 30: New CCTV footage has been released showing missing Burnie teen Shyanne-Lee Tatnell walking along a Launceston roadway the night of her disappearance.

The video, released by Tasmania Police, shows the 14-year-old walking east on Henry St, Launceston, before she was last seen crossing the Henry St bridge over the North Esk River on the night of April 30 at 9pm.

In the footage, wearing the cream hooded jumper mentioned in her missing persons report, Ms Tatnell is seen briskly walking along the road, stopping at one point to bend down toward the pavement. It is understood she was heading towards Ravenswood to visit a friend.

She has not made contact with family or friends, nor has made any banking transactions since vanishing without a trace two months ago.

Northern CIB Detective Acting Inspector Andrew Hanson said the bureau remained “committed” to finding the missing teen.

“Officers continue to investigate every piece of information received to find Shyanne-Lee,” he said.

“In recent weeks, further searches have been conducted in the North Esk River near the Henry Street Bridge where Shyanne-Lee was last seen – unfortunately no sign of Shyanne-Lee was found.”

It comes as police continue to follow leads in relation to several vehicles – with a focus on a silver car – in the Henry St area, travelling towards Launceston, around the time she was last seen.

“If you were the driver of a silver vehicle in the area at the time, or you know who was, please come forward. You may have information that can assist us to locate Shyanne-Lee or determine her movements, Insp Hanson said.

Insp Hanson said the CCTV footage had been released “in hopes of jogging some people’s memories”.

“Police are still treating it as a missing persons investigation but it has been two months,” he said.

“We are really keen to piece together Shyanne’s movements on the night of her disappearance.”

Shyanne-Lee is described as around 160cm tall, slim build with blonde hair.

At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a cream coloured hooded jumper with dark coloured writing on the chest and shoulder area. She was also wearing bike shorts.
