A man from the Derwent Valley has been charged with manslaughter in relation to a two car crash last year in which an 18-year-old was killed.
Police have charged a 19-year-old man from Plenty with manslaughter and causing grievous bodily harm in relation to the fatal crash on the Brooker Highway in Hobart on July 21 last year.
A police spokesperson said the man was arrested and charged this week after an extensive investigation.
He is due to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on May 28.
The 18-year-old Hobart man, a passenger, died in the crash at the intersection of Bathurst Street and the Brooker Highway about 4am.
The male driver and another passenger in the vehicle, a black ute, received serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, a grey SUV, was the only occupant and also received serious but not life threatening injuries.
