Former Tasmanian politician Adam Richard Brooks has had his matter briefly mentioned in a Queensland court again after being arrested in relation to weapons and fraud charges earlier this year.
Mr Brooks, 45, has been charged with one count each of unlawful possession of a category H weapon, unauthorised possession of explosives, dealing with identity items and a breach of bail.
Police allegedly found the items while executing a search warrant at a Marine Pde address in Redcliffe on May 12.
Police said a handgun and false driver’s licences were seized during the search.
It is understood Mr Brooks is in Queensland seeking assistance for his mental health.
Mr Brooks’ lawyer Brendan Beavon appeared on his client’s behalf at Redcliffe Magistrates Court today.
He collected a brief of evidence and Magistrate Mark Bucknall adjourned the matter until October 19.
