Fahed and Tracey Elniz sentenced to jail for conspiracy to traffic drugs

A Bandidos-affiliated husband and wife, who were arrested in a major police operation in Dover in 2020, have been sentenced for conspiracy to traffic an illicit substance in a Hobart court.

A Bandidos-affiliated husband and wife, who were arrested in a major police operation in Dover in 2020, have been sentenced to seven and a half years for conspiracy to traffic an illicit substance.

Fahed Elniz, 50, and Tracey Elniz, 49, were both ordered by Acting Justice David Porter in the Supreme Court on Thursday to serve at least half their sentence before being eligible for parole.

Mr Elniz’s sentence was backdated to 26 September 2024 to take into account the time he has already spent in custody, while the sentence of Mrs Elniz was backdated to 21 October.
