He also had a close friendship with his grandfather, ‘Yogi’.

“David would go out of his way to help us, he was a genuine and honest fella,” Mr Harback said.

“David was a good boy, he’d do anything to help you. Whenever he saw you around he’d shake your hand and have a chat.

“He was a happy-go-lucky kid who loved fishing and hunting, especially with his dad and grandfather. That was his life.

“We’d go on trips and he’d be out fishing all night.”

Mr Harback has launched a GoFundMe page to help the Jenkins out during this time.

“My daughter moved up to George Town to work on a farm a year ago and Wayne and Cindy came around and went out of their way to buy her pots and pans and other things to help her out,” he said.

“They’d call in and check on her, that’s the type of people they are. So we need to help them back.”
