There have been repeated adjournments in the case of Nicolaas Ockert Bester, Grace Tame’s abuser who has been charged with menacing, harassing or causing offence to her via Twitter.
The 70-year-old convicted paedophile was due to face the Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday, and previously on a date in January, following his first court appearance over the matter last December.
But both the latter hearings were administratively adjourned and he did not appear, with the disgraced former teacher now expected to return to court on March 7.
Ms Tame was in attendance at court on Monday.
According to court documents, Tasmania Police has alleged Bester committed the offences by making public social media posts on Twitter “in relation to and directed to Grace Tame”.
He has not yet entered a plea to three counts of using a carriage service to commit the offences in 2022.
