A 29-year-old-man has faced court after charged with strangulation in 2024
A 29-year-old Mayfield man who allegedly strangled a child late last year made a plea in the Launceston Magistrates Court.

A 29-year-old Mayfield man appeared at Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday over a 2024 strangling incident.
The man, Kale Last, was charged with strangulation on November 6 when a child was taken to the Launceston Hospital Emergency Department.
Police were called to the emergency department where the child was being treated for non-threatening injuries.
On January 14, facing Magistrate Simon Brown, Last pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was last in court on November 7.
Last remains on bail until the hearing.
The hearing will be at Launceston Supreme Court on March 11.
