A LAUNCESTON woman has taken home more than $800,000 after becoming Tasmania’s fifth division one Tattslotto winner this month.

She held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday night’s draw

“I checked my numbers online on Sunday morning and I thought ‘is this for real?’,” the woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said.

“There was no one home at the time to double check so I went to get the paper and saw the numbers were the same in there.

“I recognised them straight away because I have been playing the same numbers for years and years.

“There are a few birthdates in there but I started playing them so long ago now I can’t even remember why the others were special.”

The woman, who still has no plans to retire, celebrated quietly.

“We just went out for dinner with our immediate family. We wanted to keep it low key,” she said.

“They were so happy for us when we told them. There were a few happy tears.”

It was the eighth winning division one entry to land in Tasmania this year.

The woman bought her winning entry from Meadow Mews News and Lotto at Kings Meadows, which has now sold two winning division one entries this month.
