‘Life-threatening’: Grim warning to pet owners after poison allegedly found in food at Sydney park
Pet owners have been issued a warning following a grim find in a Sydney park with the potential to threaten the lives of furry friends.
Dog owners have been warned to remain alert after pieces of sausage containing “life-threatening” poison were allegedly found at a park in Sydney’s inner-west.
Reports of sausage pieces containing rat or snail poison in Weekley Park in Stanmore have prompted a warning to dog owners.
“These substances are highly toxic and can be life-threatening for dogs,” the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney have warned.
“If your dog has visited this area recently and eaten anything suspicious, contact your vet immediately.
“If you’re taking your pet to Weekley Park, stay vigilant: keep them on a leash, supervise them closely, and prevent them from eating anything off the ground.”
One commenter took the chance to air their anger over the reports, asking “What low-life does this?”
