‘Read, you moron’: Car covered in clingfilm after parking on public property in Sydney

A motorist returned to find their red Fiat completely covered after a fed-up property owner took matters into their own hands.

Sydney council going to ‘force’ residents to ‘give up’ their cars: Plans to slash parking spaces

A motorist returned to find their red Fiat car completely covered in cling film after apparently taking somebody’s private car spot in Sydney.

A passerby snapped the hilarious scene in Wahroonga and shared it to a community Facebook page.

“And you thought people parking boats on Mosman streets was bad. Look what happens in Wahroonga if you park in the wrong place!” the person wrote.

The plastic covering the car had been scribbled on.

“Not a public park. Read, you moron. Private property.”

Other Sydneysiders had a chuckle at the furious overreaction, but a few questioned the approach.

“Why the hell would you do that to someone’s car? “Would a note not have achieved the same result. Seems an overreaction,” one person wrote.

“Well deserved. Though it’s a dreadful waste of plastic,” another said.

But others similarly fed up with the lack of convenient parking in Sydney thought it was fair play.

“Fair enough. We have it happen to us all the time and I’m at the point of doing this considering I can’t park on the street so I need my parking spot at my own place. Lucky they put gladwrap on the car first and not write straight on the car … hats off to whoever did this,” one wrote.
