APPLE’S ‘Find My iPhone’ feature has been the source of much joy for people who have misplaced their smartphone one way or another.

This is great for people with iPhones, but what if you are an Android user?

You could download tracking apps found in the Google Play store or you could use the much easier solution of locating your device with Google’s Android Device Manager website.

The catch is your Android must be turned on and connected to the internet, and the device must also be connected to your Google account.

The website will show you the location of your device on Google Maps and will allow you to call your smartphone to see if a good Samaritan will answer and return it to you.

However, if you think someone has swiped your smartphone and has no plans on returning it, you can also lock or wipe your device by using the device manager.

To use this feature, you will need to make sure it is enabled while your Android is still safely in your possession.

This is done by getting go the “Google Settings” app, tapping on “Android Device Manager”, and then selecting “Remotely locate this device” and “Allow remote lock and erase.”

Follow these steps and you’ll be finding your lost smartphone in no time.
