NFL star Tyler Eifert left the field in tears after his ankle was twisted at an impossible angle in an accidental horror injury.
The Cincinnati Bengals ace, 28, ran on to an Andy Dalton pass against the Atlanta defence.

But as he was tackled, a lineman De’Vondre Campbell tackled him and rocked his entire bodyweight on to Eifert’s lower leg.
And the joint simply buckled and twisted at an acute angle under the weight of the body.
It led to cringe-worthy replays of the Eifert’s foot facing one way and his body in a completely different direction.

So bad was the damage, that NFL Red Zone presenter Scott Hanson yelled to his production team: “Don’t show that replay.”
They in fact DID show replays of it, which revealed the extent of the tight end’s injury
.
Eifert was taken off the field on a stretcher and cameras picked up that he was in tears.
He had earlier scored a touchdown for the Bengals but he will likely be out for the season after this blow.
