The final trailer for ESPN and Netflix’s Michael Jordan documentary has been released as producers announced an April 20 release date in Australia.
The final one-minute teaser has whipped the basketball world into a frenzy, including the heir to Jordan’s throne, LeBron James.
The 10-part series titled “The Last Dance” was scheduled to be aired at the conclusion of the NBA Finals in June — but the NBA season shut down and the hunger from fans across the world has convinced producers to fast-track the series to be available in less than three weeks.
Social media has implored ESPN and American broadcast partner ABC to move up the documentary’s beginning because of the hunger for new sports programming.

ESPN and its other four partners — Netflix, Jordan, the NBA and Mandalay Sports Media — have heard the calls and have acted on them.
Netflix owns the international rights to the docuseries, including in Australia where it will reportedly be available for streaming from midnight on Monday, April 20.

NBA fans were already salivating after the first series of trailers were released in December — and the latest teaser has demand at desperate levels.
The one-minute wrap released in December features some of the 100 personalities who will feature in the doco including fellow basketballers like Dennis Rodman and Charles Barkley, musician and movie star Justin Timberlake, actror Carmen Electra and even former US president Barack Obama.
The latest trailer shows how the series will also focus on the team around Jordan and their run of six NBA Championships, including two three-peats.
A 14-time All-Star and five-time league MVP, Jordan is one of world sport’s most recognisable faces and judging by the reaction to this trailer there’ll be no shortage of people waiting impatiently for showtime.
