US sports anchor gives best match report ever

IN light of the release of the latest Star Wars film, this sports anchor has produced what could be the best match report of all time.

IF the NFL needs a new media representative to spice up its image, they simply must employ Wes Blankenship.

The 13WMAZ sports anchor posted a video to his YouTube account showing his broadcast of a match report for Monday’s NFL game between the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars. However this was no regular broadcast.

Prior to their 23-17 win over Jacksonville, the Falcons had lost six games in a row with a record of 6-7. But according to Blankenship, their seventh game since they last saw a victory was “an awakening”.

Naturally, the anchor linked the Falcons victory to the release of the seventh instalment of the cult saga films direct from the brain of George Lucas — “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.

The result was one of the most entertaining match reports the NFL has ever seen, which included 23 Star Wars references for each of the 23 points scored by the Atlanta side.
