UFC queen Ronda Rousey has made an X-rated gaffe that caused havoc at the UFC193 media day.

RONDA Rousey couldn’t believe the words that just came out of her mouth.

The UFC bantamweight champion was enthralling a large media contingent and crowd at the UFC 193 media day at Etihad Stadium when she suddenly mixed up her words.

Rousey’s seventh world title defence against American Holly Holm is the headline fight for UFC 193 at Etihad Stadium on November 15 - an event that is expected to break all UFC attendance records.

Promoting the fight alongside Holm and UFC president Dan White, Rousey was at her charismatic best as she answered questions from local and international journalists - up until the moment she got asked about how she was going to counter Holm’s striking skills.

Holm is a WBA and WBF boxing champion - perhaps that’s why Rousey messed up her answer.

She started the explanation well enough.

“It’ll definitely be the biggest challenge I’ve had yet,” Rousey said.

“A lot of the guys I’ve fought before, they don’t have the footwork that Holly has and she’s a great counter-puncher. So I can’t hold anything back.”

Unfortunately, Rousey unravelled from there.

“If I came right in her face right away... wow that sounded terrible.

“Oh my God. You know what I mean.

“How do I even say this right now?

“Let me re-phrase that. I can’t really be aggressive right away because Holly is a counter-puncher. She is a person that I need to be extremely careful with.

“In saying that though, she’s a 19-time boxing champion, not a 19-time MMA champion.”

Clearly embarrassed, the 28-year-old giggled at her own muddle-up before the crowd shouted their encouragement for the biggest fight star on the planet.

Not even Ronda Rousey is perfect.

Rousey also used the press conference to launch a strong defence of fighter Nick Diaz, who was smacked with a five-year ban after using marijuana.

“I think they should free Nick Diaz,” she said.

“It’s not Dana’s decision. I think it’s an invasion of privacy for them to test for marijuana and they have no right.

“They shouldn’t even test for weed. It’s not fair.”

Holm was a little more reserved in asked to discuss her plans to take down UFC’s biggest star.

“I wouldn’t explain my whole game plan right here,” she said. I want to take it one second at a time. You cant blink with Ronda.

“She’s very skilled.”

A crowd of up to 70,000 is expected for the fight.
