Ronda Rousey fans are not happy she’s fighting Holly Holm at UFC 195
WOW. For the most loved fighter in UFC — and a global sporting phenomenon — Ronda Rousey is really copping it from fans right now.

RONDA Rousey’s fight with Holly Holm is being compared to “throwing a piece of meat into a lions’ den”.
The undefeated UFC bantamweight champion, who has won her three most recent title defences in a combined 64 seconds, is expected to breeze through her fight with Holm in the UFC 195 main event in Las Vegas on January 2.
But that’s the problem.
Rousey’s announcement that she would next fight Holm shocked fans who believe the UFC’s biggest celebrity won’t be challenged in the Octagon by the 33-year-old former boxer and striking specialist.
Fans originally expected Rousey to defend her world title for a seventh time against arch nemesis Meisha Tate, who she has previously beaten twice in the UFC, or Chris “Cyborg” Justino.
The 28-year-old announced the decision to fight Holm on American breakfast television.
While Rousey declared Holm her “biggest challenge to date,” experts and fans are preparing for a bloodbath.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan said the match up “was not a smart fight”.
He said off the top of his head at least four fighters are more deserving of a shot at the title.
“I don’t agree with that fight,” Rogan said.
“That Holly Holm fight. I don’t think that’s smart. I would have gone with (No. 4 ranked) Amanda Nunes before Holly Holm. Amanda Nunes looked like a badass when she knocked out Sara McMann.
“That’s a more dangerous fighter. A more marketable fighter. [Holm] is only the best boxer in the world if Ann Wolf decides not to box.”
“The Holly Holm fight is not as intriguing to me as Amanda Nunes would be. [Holm’s] big issue is the grappling. Who knows, though? You never know. Maybe Holly, because her stand-up is so much more refined, she’s been doing it for so much longer, maybe she can keep Ronda away from her.
“I’m serious. I just think, honestly, the real problem is that there’s a lack of talent.”
Even Rousey’s strength and conditioning coach conceded Holm is not Rousey’s biggest challenge in the division.
Mike Dolce said Tate deserved another crack at Rousey ahead of Holm.
“I think Miesha deserved to be the No. 1 contender or at least in that conversation,” he told MMAJunkie recently.
“But having two cracks at Ronda already, I can see why Miesha was taken out of the equation and Holly was put in.
“It’s a much more competitive fight than people would say.
“I see her getting bashed on the internet. Who do you bash this young lady? Because she’s worked her tail off to get where she’s at. She’s undefeated. She certainly deserves to be in the (title-picture) conversation. Now, to jump over Miesha for the title shot? That’s a conversation.”
Here’s why fans don’t like the match up with holm.

My thoughts on Rousey vs Holm? Too soon for Holm and I expect Rousey to run through her. Also I'm now thinking Tate vs Cyborg at 135/140?

Holly Holm is a striker with a bad chin, no power and no ground game. This is the Bethe Corriea fight all over again. Zero threat. Yawn.

@UFC has booked Holly Holm vs Ronda Rousey even though Dana White has said Holm needs more fights to be ready. It's a ridiculous mismatch.

Wow I can't even imagine my ufc division being so weak that after only 2 wins you get a title fight. I'm 4-0 in the ufc and ranked like 38.

Rousey is coming off a 34-second knockout over Bethe Correia at UFC 190 three weeks ago in Rio de Janeiro while Holm recently won a decision against Marion Reneau.
Holm is also undefeated in the UFC with a perfect 9-0 mixed martial arts record.
The 33-year-old from New Mexico is considered somewhat of an enigma in the UFC because of her brutal record in professional boxing.
Holm was 33-2-3 with nine knockouts before she joined the UFC last year.
UFC boss Dana White said he is excited by the fight kicking off the new year of UFC 2016.
