CLARENCE will get three weeks to tweak its game plan in an effort to obtain an advantage at its 2020 home ground following the release of the TSL fixture.
The Roos, who opted to relocate to Richmond after being kicked off Blundstone Arena, won’t play at the venue until they host Glenorchy on Saturday July 25.
Kickstarting the shortened campaign against Eastern Shore rivals Lauderdale, the Roos will have a round two bye before welcoming the Pies to Richmond.
Coach Jeromey Webberley hopes his side can quickly adapt to a different shaped ground which he likens to Geelong’s home fortress GMHBA Stadium.
“I think it is something that is going to be different for us but hopefully we can create something that is our own,” Webberley said.
“I’ve discussed in the past that every TSL club wants to play at Blundstone, so therefore I don’t think the home ground advantage is as significant as what it is at say Lauderdale or places like that.
“At Richmond it is something different, not many opposition players would have played there and coaches may not have coached there.
“Hopefully we can get some sort of advantage out of it.
“It is quite long but quite narrow, probably a little bit like Geelong’s home ground … the last 10 days we have been tinkering with some of the things around suiting Richmond Oval.”

The Roos have avoided a midweek match, with the remaining six clubs to all face a quick turnaround in an effort to complete the season prior to cricket resuming.
North Launceston and Launceston will tackle the first Wednesday night clash on August 26, with the reigning premiers having just four days to recover from a trip south to KGV.
North Hobart will then host Kingborough on Wednesday September 9, before Glenorchy and Lauderdale square off a fortnight later.
