Ronda Rousey broke ‘Expendables 3’ director Patrick Hughes’ rib

AUSSIE director Patrick Hughes suffered a broken rib after copping a brutal blow from UFC star and rising actress Ronda Rousey.

MIXED Martial Arts star Ronda Rousey is on the way up as an actress, starring in “Fast and Furious 7” and the new “Entourage” movie.

But it was on the set of the new “Expendables 3” that she has made her biggest impact so far.

Just ask Aussie director Patrick Hughes.

Hughes said the UFC women’s bantamweight champion punched him and broke his rib before her first scene in the action film, in which she featured alongside the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“I remember the first thing we shot with Ronda — I actually got beaten up,” Hughes told HitFix.

“Ronda’s first time ever on camera was the scene with Sly at a bar, and she’s really super-nervous.

“Expendables 3” stars Sylvester Stallone, Ronda Rousey and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“I went up and said, ‘Well, what do you do before a big fight?’

“And she says, ‘I like to spar in my room. I get that nervous energy out.’

“And I said, ‘So you need to hit something? Let’s find something to hit.’

“And she said, ‘But I want to hit you.’

“She was like, ‘Put your arms up.’ And I’m thinking, ‘Ronda’s just going to do this.’

“I put my hands up, and she goes WHAM. Next day, I was getting dressed and my kids were there at the time. My seven-year-old daughter said, ‘What’s that?’ And I had this huge black mark.

“I had a broken rib. And I said, ‘I got beaten up by an actress.’”

Rousey denied breaking Hughes’ rib but admits she did give him a whack.

“He didn’t have a broken rib,” Rousey said. “I didn’t hit anything hard.”
