The 28-year-old prop has not missed a game since debuting for the Sharks in Round 1, 2006, and eclipsed Jason Taylor’s previous record (194) in Round 1 this year.
It is believed Douglas will not be stripped of his record but he will not play against St George Illawarra at Kogarah tomorrow or for the remainder of the season.

Kelly has been rubbed out of playing for Tweed Heads Seagulls in their Intrust Super Cup clash on the Sunshine Coast.
The Titans declined interview requests for Douglas and Kelly on Friday with CEO Graham Annesley saying the club had offered them as much support as they need.
“At this stage my primary concern is for the welfare of our players,” he said.
“We are providing them with as much support and assistance as possible.
“Other than that I have no further comment until the NRL provides more information.”
