Peter Mata’utia to join three brothers at Newcastle Knights with Dragons agreeing to a release

ST GEORGE Illawarra centre Peter Mata’utia is set to be reunited with his three brothers at Newcastle with the Dragons agreeing to an immediate release.

ST GEORGE Illawarra centre Peter Mata’utia is set to be reunited with his three brothers at Newcastle with the Dragons agreeing to an immediate release.

The club will make his release official within the next hour.

His signing with the Knights will be confirmed after he undergoes a medical later today or tomorrow.

It’s understood Mata’utia will take a pay cut to link with younger brothers Pat, Chanel and Sione at Newcastle for a second time.

He previously played six top grade games for the club in 2011 and 2012 before joining the Dragons in 2014.
