Parramatta Eels rugby league star Mitchell Moses is engaged to long-term partner and mother of his baby, Bri Gardoni.
Ms Gardoni announced the engagement with an adorable Instagram post of four month-old bub Aspyn on Moses’ lap and her left hand with a large square cut ring.
“14.2.23,” Ms Gardoni captioned the photograph, suggesting the date the rugby league gun got down on one knee.
The post, which Ms Gardoni shared on Sunday night, received hundreds of comments from family, friends, football players and fans congratulating the couple.
“Congrats fam,” Moses’ teammate Bryce Cartwright commented on the black and white image.
New Zealand Warriors player Bayley Sironen also commented three red hearts on the post.
The couple welcomed newborn Aspyn in late September, with Moses missing the birth to play in Parramatta’s preliminary final clash against the North Queensland Cowboys, which they won.
Moses, 28, has been dating Ms Gardoni, 28 since 2018.
The renowned halfback has sparked plenty of speculation about his NRL future in recent months after hitting the open market to test his worth.
The Eels are keen to retain Moses’ services, however, his signature is also being hunted by the Tigers and Bulldogs.
The NRL tug of war could net Moses more than $1 million per season wherever he signs.
Parramatta remain confident Moses will remain in blue and gold beyond 2023 and can ill afford to lose such a key component of their spine.
The Eels haven’t missed the finals since 2018, performing strongly in the last three years without taking that extra step towards premiership glory.
Losing Moses would set Parramatta‘s title ambitions back while the Bulldogs and Tigers have everything to gain after plenty of lean seasons.
Moses has played 198 NRL matches since his debut with the Tigers in 2014 and joined the Eels in 2017, racking up 131 matches for Brad Arthur’s side.
