Was there a perfect 8 winner in round seven? NO! That means that the initial $25,000 prize jackpots by $5,000 again to be a HUGE $60,000 this week. That’s serious cash on the line when it only takes 2 minutes to select a team!

For the record, the perfect 8 for round seven was:

This was the Perfect 8 from Round 7.
This was the Perfect 8 from Round 7.

Again there were some pretty prominent players in SuperCoach terms, the third time this season that Cooper Cronk has been the Storm game’s highest scorer.

One for the memory bank.

This week’s Perfect 8 tallied a huge score of 885 points, up from 730 points last week, with “Eels2016” coached by Jeff the closest to securing the major prize scoring 781 points.

On to trying to win the big $60k this week …

Broncos vs. Rabbits - Friday 7.50pm at Suncorp Stadium

Anthony Milford 5/8 (Broncos) - Milf scored 153 last week, so I don’t need to convince you of how high his ceiling is. A 5-round average of 94, and coming up against a leaky Rabbits defence at home at Suncorp is enough to lock it in for me.

Other options: Ben Hunt, Sam Burgess, Jordan Kahu, Corey Parker

Bulldogs vs. Titans - Saturday 3.00pm at ANZ Stadium

Kerrod Holland CTW (Bulldogs) - There are lots of guns who are around the 55-80 point mark like James Graham, Ryan James and Greg Bird … But I like the upside of the Bulldogs young outside back. Kicking duties and the prospect of tries against a Titans side that concede points in clumps. Holland has scored 81 & 81 in his last two matches, good signs …

Other options: Moses Mbye, Sam Perrett, Ryan James, Tyrone Roberts

Raiders vs. Tigers - Saturday 5.30pm at GIO Stadium

James Tedesco FLB (Tigers) - It’s predictable isn’t it? Teddy is the highest averaging player (80.9) in all of SuperCoach for a reason, and every game I can pick him in for Perfect 8, I will. Joey Leilua is a seriously good option here too if you think the Raiders can get the win as he’s looked extremely dangerous of late and is threatening to go large!

Other options: Joey Leilua, Kevin Naiqama, Robbie Farah, Jarrod Croker, Jordan Rapana

Cowboys vs. Eels - Saturday 7.30pm at 1300 SMILES Stadium

Jonathan Thurston HFB | 5/8 (Cowboys) - This was not going to be my choice, as I think Semi Radradra is about to burst out some huge scores, but after last week’s CLINIC that JT put on at home against the Rabbits I just couldn’t leave him out. When the Cowboys play well at home, JT simply doesn’t miss out - he averages 77.9 points vs. Eels at home across 13 career matches. Yes, that is goooood.

Thurston is a good choice for this week’s perfect 8.
Thurston is a good choice for this week’s perfect 8.

Other options: Semi Radradra, Corey Norman, Lachlan Coote, Ethan Lowe

Sharks vs. Panthers - Sunday 4.00pm at Southern Cross Group Stadium

James Maloney 5/8 | HFB (Sharks) - Maloney has been threatening to go large the past few weeks (apart from when Greg Bird knocked him out!), and on the back of an impressive 78 points last week, I’m backing the ex-Rooster to outscore the guns like Gallen, Merrin, Fifita and Carty who are the obvious choices here.

Other options: Paul Gallen, Andrew Fifita, Trent Merrin, Bryce Cartwright

Knights vs. Sea Eagles - Monday 2.00pm at Hunter Stadium

Jamie Lyon CTW (Sea Eagles) - Simple, really … The Knights concede the most points of any team in the comp, Lyon has scores of 64 and 71 the past two weeks and even if he doesn’t score tries himself, someone else will and Lyon will convert them! I think any of the players wearing Maroon and White in this fixture are a chance of going big …

Other options: Tom Trbojevic, Dylan Walker, Marty Taupau, Dane Gagai

Jamie Lyon scored his first try of the season last week.

Dragons vs. Roosters - Monday 4.00pm at Allianz Stadium

Gareth Widdop 5/8 | HFB (Dragons) - The annual ANZAC Day blockbuster sees two teams who are both on struggle street in terms of results. Widdop is the Dragons skipper, and has shown signs over the past few weeks of turning things around. Over the last 7 seasons, Widdop has only averaged below 50 once (47.8 in 2011), so we know he has the runs on the board.

Other options: Latrell Mitchell, Jake Friend, Jackson Hastings, Josh Dugan

Storm vs. Warriors - Monday 7.00pm at AAMI Park

Cameron Munster CTW | FLB (Storm) - This kid is a freak … Munster has averaged 67.5 over the past four weeks, without a try or try assist! Over those weeks he has had 16, 6, 10 and 20 points in … Tackle busts! That’s serious numbers. I am doing everything in my power to get this guy into my SuperCoach team, and Perfect 8 is the perfect way to get him.

Other options: Jesse Bromwich, Shaun Johnson, Cooper Cronk, Tui Lolohea
