50 most popular SuperCoach players revealed

MANLY hooker Matt Parcell is the most in-demand player in NRL SuperCoach, but SuperCoaches have turned off James Graham and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.

MANLY hooker Matt Parcell is the most in-demand player in NRL SuperCoach.

Just the 27th most popular player two weeks ago, Parcell has surged to become the 14th most purchased, now owned by one in five SuperCoaches. Parcell’s swell in popularity comes on the back of a hooker injury crisis at the Sea Eagles.

Jayden Hodges (ACL, season), Apisai Koroisau (shoulder, round one) and utility Lewis Brown (knee, round one) are all on the injured list. Parcell himself is still battling a hamstring issue picked up in the Auckland Nines, but is not in doubt for round one.

SuperCoach is full of ups and downs.

THE BIG LOSERS

* Konrad Hurrell has plummeted in popularity, falling from 15th to 19th on the list in just two weeks following revelations he is unlikely to make the round one team;

* James Graham is also out of favour, falling from 16th to 23rd. He suffered concussion and a rib injury in the weekend trial, but will play round one;

* Tevita Pangai Jr has dropped from 17th to 26th following Ricky Stuart’s revelations he won’t play his star junior in first grade this year after he signed for the Broncos for 2017;

* Roger Tuivasa-Sheck dropped from 12th to 16th due to a mediocre Nines, followed by a rib injury in the weekend trial. The club says he will be fit for round one.

THE BIG WINNERS

* Bryce Cartwright has surged from 11th to 8th most popular following a strong Nines and brilliant cameo in last weekend’s trial, albeit from the bench;

* Pauli Pauli jumped from 19th to 13th following a strong performance in Newcastle’s weekend trial, coupled with a lack of cheapies in the forwards.
