Rising NRLW teenager Phoenix-Raine Hippi uncovered after three tries and bone-rattling hit for PMs XIII

A future star of the NRLW has just been uncovered after scoring a hattrick against Papua New Guinea in the PMs XIII - but it was a bone-rattling hit that will dominate highlight reels. WATCH

Hippi's huge hit

Gold Coast teenager Phoenix-Raine Hippi is the latest star unearthed by the PM’s XIII after the 19-year-old stunned in Sunday’s 50-0 win over Papua New Guinea.

Hippi, who made her debut for the Titans this season and recently extended her contract for another two years, scored a hattrick and set up another to confirm her status as one of the most exciting young talents in the NRLW.

She’ll dominate the highlight reel, and one of her best moments of the day was a bone-rattling hit on PNG fullback Fleur Ginn.

With 13 minutes to go at Santos National Football Stadium, Hippi raced out of the line to whack Ginn, up-ending the Parramatta star and leaving her down on the turf as she recovered.

In a hot field of experienced players, Hippi’s performance was the standout with three tries, six tacklebreaks and a try-assist in her first international call up.

It follows a huge season for Queensland under-19s Origin star, who made her NRLW debut with the Titans and scored nine tries in seven games.

Wests Tigers rookie Caitlin Turnbull also scored a hattrick against the Orchids on a big day for the rising guns of the NRLW.

Turnbull, 24, was one of the standout wingers in the NRLW this season, scoring eight tries in 10 games for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Jillaroos hopefuls Mackenzie Weale, Abbi Church and Quincy Dodd pushed their case for a debut in a fortnight.

All three scored against the Orchids in their first chance to impress Jillaroos coach Jess Skinner.

Weale and Church have been called into the Jillaroos squad to replace Sienna Lofipo and Emma Verran, who withdrew last week.

They will join the Jillaroos in camp ahead of their first game of the Pacific Championships on October 26 against Samoa at Suncorp Stadium.
