Sydney Roosters star Millie Elliott will miss an anticipated showdown with undefeated Cronulla on Saturday after being hit with a one match suspension for a careless high tackle.

The NSW Origin prop was sin-binned in the dying seconds of Sunday night’s win over Canberra and has been charged with a grade two careless high tackle for her hit on Raiders centre Cheyelle Robins-Reti.

With an early guilty plea she will miss one game, but risks a two-match suspension if she challenges at the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night and loses.

It comes as a huge blow to the fourth-placed Roosters ahead of their clash with the ladder leading Sharks, with Jess Sergis (knee) and Corban Baxter (knee) all sidelined with injury.

Elliott’s suspension was part of a raft of charges handed down by the NRLW match review committee on Monday morning with Broncos forward Tazmin Rapana and Canberra second-rower Hollie Mae Dodd also facing one week bans for hip drop tackles.

With an early guilty plea they will all miss round 7, with Rapana to miss Sunday’s clash with Newcastle at McDonald Jones Stadium as the Broncos look to ramp up their title hunt against the premiers.

Tigers forward Sarah Togatuki was hit with two charges for a careless high tackle and a crusher tackle, but will not miss any game time if she pleads guilty and opts to pay a $400 fine.

Same goes for Broncos star Brianna Clark, who was charged with a grade one careless high tackle on Sareka Mooka.

Newcastle’s Yasmin Clydsdale (dangerous contact) and Simone Karpani (careless high tackle), Tigers’ Sophie Curtain (careless high tackle) and Cowboys forward Harata Butler (careless high tackle) all received a warning.
