From contract showdowns and off-field scandals to club rebuilds, every NRL club has started down the barrel of a multitude of obstacles ahead of the pre-season which will bubble along over the summer.

The 2026 NRL pre-season rankings are not a predicted ladder, but rather an examination of how prepared clubs are to tackle the next three-and-a-half months – which can make or break their finals chances in 2026.

In collating our pre-season power rankings, we have taken multiple things into account when ranking the 17 clubs: transfer movement, casualty wards, off-field scandals, 2025 momentum.
