Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii has avoided a ban for lifting his knees in a tackle, but the star centre was one of four Roosters charged following their big win over the Warriors, with Sandon Smith the only one set to be suspended.
Suaalii copped a three-match ban last year for raising his knee while carrying the ball forward against the Bulldogs, having also been issued a concerning act notice during the World Cup.
The rugby-bound outside back was cited by the match review committee and slapped with a $1000 fine for a grade 1 dangerous contact charge that left Warriors hooker Wayde Egan with a facial cut.
Roosters teammate Angus Crichton is also looking at a $1000 fine after he became the latest player to be charged with tripping, while five-eighth Luke Keary has been offered an $1800 fine for a chicken wing tackle on Shaun Johnson that went unpunished on the field.
Utility Sandon Smith is facing a one-match ban after he was hit with a grade 2 dangerous contact charge for making contact with Dylan Walker’s legs as he put up a kick.
There were three charges in Sunday’s second match between the Titans and Cowboys, with Griffin Neame, Reece Robson and Moeaki Fotuaika offered fines if they take the early guilty plea.
