The Las Vegas Grad Prix has begun with high drama as Red Bull were hit with a heavy punishment before the race.

It’s do-or-die time for Oscar Piastri as the Aussie attempts to stop McLaren teammate Lando Norris from putting one hand on the F1 drivers’ championship trophy at the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Sunday.

Norris has torn up the glitzy Las Vegas street circuit this weekend after putting his MCL35 on pole position, where he will start alongside Max Verstappen.

Piastri’s nightmare continued when his final flying lap in Q3 was compromised as a result of Isack Hadjar forcing him into the run-off area.

Norris leads the standings by 24 points from Piastri and 49 points from Verstappen with just three races remaining in the season.

Race day began with high drama when FIA stewards announced Yuki Tsunoda has been punished to start from pit lane as a result of a power unit upgrade.
