A teenage sensation is joining the Hobart Hurricanes.
Thirteen-year-old Mia Barwick has been parachuted into the T20 Spring Challenge squad after Heather Graham was called into Australia’s team at the ICC Women’s T20 Women’s World Cup.
A talented pace bowler, Barwick is a star of the North Hobart Cricket Club and has represented Tasmania at the national under-16 and 19 national championships.
“At only 13 years of age, the Hobart Hurricanes are proud to see a Cricket Tasmania pathways athlete given exposure to the professional game early on in Barwick’s career,” a statement.
The Hurricanes currently sit third on the T20 Spring Challenge ladder and have another game starting at 3pm on Monday.
